Two Things asked from the Lord

In proverbs 30:7-9 two things were asked from the Lord.

Away from futility and wrong words.
Neither rich nor poor.

The first is concerned with our mouth and words.
Right speech and proper words are wisdom fountain in our lives.

Those who are trustworthy are people of integrity and with his words.

The second is related to our standard of living maintained in this worldly life.

Rich people can be proud and forget of the givenness of life from the Lord.
Rich ones can be haughty and look down upon the poor.


Poor people on the other hand can be too self -pity that they cannot enjoy life,to the point of grasping hold of what not belonging from themselves.


It's therefore wise to pray as the author in this verse to the Lord.

Help us be proper in our words and not going astray.
Grant us this day our daily bread that's enough just for this day withour too much and insufficient. To help ourselves to be the right person.

Roman 1:16

When Paul says that he's not ashamed of the Gospel, I got four own introspections for thoughts:

1. Are we living in shame as christians OR full of glory because of the Gospel ?

2. Are we expereincing the power of the Word of God ?

3. Are we living in full expectation because gospel is mankind's only way of salvation？

4. Is living a matter of discipline as the gospel firstly preached to Jews and then comes to the Gentiles ? That's God's order and He is both the Lord of Creation and God of salvation in this order. He also expects us to live in order.

Silence & Shield

In Psalm 28 the poet experienced God's silence and asked His answering prayers.

The Lord he experienced as his Strength,Shield and Fortress.

How many times when we asked the Lord but without getting a definite answer ?
How many times we want to know more but in vain ?
How many disappointments we go through in waiting ?

An ECF pastor's plead for his wife healing for her cancer just reflects such kind of anguish and deep pain!

He's not facing any concrete enemy or bad people to ask for the Lord's help.He's struggling against the Evil One and thought that all is because of Evil forces behind the scene that matters.
I'm not sure of the theodicy puzzle all the time.Like Job in his pain because of Satan's attack,is it that all our pains are because of Satan's cause ?

I just ask the Lord to be our Shield and our Rock in times of trouble.

All praises are due Him though we know not all things most of the time.

The Lord's Prayer

Our Father Who art in heaven,

Hallowed be thy name !
Thy kingdom come,
Thy will be done as it is in heaven.


Give us this day our daily bread
Forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us

Lead us not into temptations
But deliver us from evil

For yours is the kingdom, power & glory
Forever and ever Amen!

The voice of the Lord

Psalm 29 is focusing on the voice of the Lord.

The voice of the Lord is Powerful!
The voice of the Lord is Majestic!

The Lord is on His throne when the floods overwhelm!
The Lord is King forever!

Shall we have these 7 in our walk with the Lord ?

Mission leaders got to be living above daily life pressure with promises from the Lord.
Mission leaders should be optimistic among life's trials and keep in view of his priorities.
Mission leaders have to be strong physically to bear the Lord's work and heavy responsibilities.
Misison leaders learnt to survive through perseverances and prayers!

These 7s are reminders for today!

Revelation

I have to speak on the last book of revelation coming August in training ministry.
I therefore read books on it.

Structure,symbolics,interpretations,applications are
4 main reading & exploring themes.

In terms of structure,linear cyclical and spiral are some of the familiar ones.

Symbolics,how to interpret the lion,dragon,women,beasts in the book ?

Preterist,historical,futuristic,ideological are also familiar interpetative schemes.

Coming out of the evil city,the Lord's sovereign control and perseverance amid trials and tribulations are some of the main applications.

Wow! How can I understand better when going into more details !?
